Goldleaf.
Posted by MiguelOchoa in Artwork

I recently came across a young local with an amazing talent for sign painting. The HB native Alex, who is definitely well on his way up the ladder. Take a look at a recent, custom piece he did for me with actual 23k goldleaf. I love everything about this wooden sign, it has a very distinct vintage feel, thanks again.

Mission.
Posted by MiguelOchoa in Artwork

Growing up my mother always mentioned visiting the mission in Old Towne San Juan Capistrano. So I recently decided to take a small family trip down south. Here’s a couple of stills that I hope would help capture our very memorable Sunday.

The old California chapel was founded on All Saints’ Day November 1, 1776, by Spanish Catholics of the Franciscan Order. Named for Giovanni da Capistrano, a 15th-century warrior priest who resided in the Abruzzo region of Italy. The San Juan Capistrano Church has the distinction of being home to the oldest building in California still in use!

I used to be rough around the edges growing up, but the Lord brought me through. I want to thank God for His Mercy & Grace in my life. You might not understand, but I wouldn’t have made it without Him – and I’m not only talking about tattooing, I’m talking about in life. I love Jesus because he first loved me. Amen.

Guillaume from South France came in to get a custom Mother Mary today, with a new-age twist to the traditional Virgin, we set it off for a really fun religious tattoo. Here’s the end result to a solid session on the homie from Europe. Thank you for the support, hope you have a safe flight back home.

We’re at it again with this very sought-after OG Abel design. The veteran artist works are always in high demand, glad I’m one of the lucky few to tattoo some of these patterns.

“L’Innocence”  is the title of this original painting by the French Master, William Bouguereau, in the late 1800’s. It portrays the baby lamb held tenderly by the Virgin Mary. The image captures the identity of Jesus Christ as the “Lamb of God” and has been treasured by the faithful for generations.  The artwork also conveys the deep, abiding, and unconditional love a mother has for her child.

Prayer.

Pelon, one of my long-time supporters from Orange for yesterday’s appointment. He wanted  something peaceful to bring the bottom part of his arm to a complete close. Something subtle yet bold, enough to make the sleeve look flush through and through. It’s great to have the opportunity to have him back in the chair.

The hands are so expressive, this is one of the more primary examples. Thanks for checking in, more to come so continue dropping by. And a huge shout-out to Pelon for handling the very late sitting.

Evan from Tustin came in for his second sitting on his leg sleeve today, a memorial project for his father, who’d passed away. A man who was big on Las Vegas, we set the path towards showcasing his passion for risky action!

”It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.” – Charles Darwin.

Well everybody it’s been quite some time but I thought I’d start off the year with a different twist to the site and its content. With the Lowrider Tattoo Camp expanding into England’s terrains, new staff members, and finally a renovated website, I chose to jump on board and give my brand a facelift.

So I hope you all enjoy the all-new site and its featured topics. I will be covering all grounds from logos, tattooing, drawing, & shop life – to – fashion, cars, galleries, travels, etc. Again, I would like to give thanks to my support group, family and followers, and of course-Lowrider Tattoo Studios for always being there for me.

Here’s some recent work on a newer client, rock musician/student Josh from Logan Heights. All that we have up to date is all because of the Man upstairs, let’s not ever forget that.
