Be strong minded and always think that the impossible is possible. – Selena
Light air and a breeze ruffles the leaves on this crisp mid-day in April. As I decide to visit the nearby community college and document another Emigdio Vasquez illustration inside the walls of the school’s building.
The visual of Cesar Chavez – The first ever Mexican-American to receive the Presidential Medal Of Freedom. Granted for his courageous efforts and accomplishments in organizing labor and politics, symbolizing support for all hispanic workers, from which began back in the early 1950’s.
His birthday, March 31, has become Cesar Chavez Day, a state holiday in California, Colorado, and Texas.
Cherish your heritage. The harvest is great.
