A personal day for my childhood friend Manuel, for his newest addition to the Hernandez family, his little girl Minerva.

I haven’t gotten a chance to do some custom lettering as of late, so here’s my freehand take on her unique name, taken from the alternative rock band Deftones song.

Mamma.
Posted by MiguelOchoa in Artwork

Yesterday’s session on Ivan, for his dedication piece for both his grandmothers. The Mamma’s always having unconditional love and care for all of us.

On my part, I am the first grandson so I am very close to my mamma, glad to hear others stories and how they feel the same.

Summer Nights.
Posted by MiguelOchoa in Artwork

Here in Southern California, you have to take advantage of those warm summer nights. We’re heading to autumn and things are beginning to transition over. This week’s client is a fellow artist and most importantly long time friend, Dustin Yip from Skanvas Tattoo in Artesia.

We began a lower back piece with a portrait of his wife, Jen, another amazing artist. This time with a traditional gangster twist, which made it that much more fun. Thanks for always supporting me throughout my journey. I’ll never forget it.
